The Golden Days of the traditional Toastmaster may be numbered now in the modern world of weddings, but that doesn’t mean you should be without a Host or Master of Ceremonies (MC) for your special event.
The original role of the ‘Red Coat’ was to create a sense of ceremony, with a recognisable key speaker easily noticed around the room. But even without the bright wardrobe, the role of an MC is a simple but fundamental edition to the smooth running and coordination of your perfect day…
An ‘Event Host’ will guide your guests from one key event to the next, by introducing:
- Confetti throw
- Call through to dinner
- Arrival of the Married Couple
- Start of the Wedding Breakfast
- Cutting the cake
- First Dance
- … and any other key announcements on your day!
An Event Host will also work closely with your suppliers to discreetly deal with any changes or interruptions to the schedule, so that your day can continue to run smooth & without any disruption.
But it doesn’t end there!
Samantha will also entertain and welcome your guests along the way by providing an appropriate level of humour, conversation, and even some lighthearted banter to encourage guests to feel involved and to enjoy each moment as it happens. It’s about making sure that everyone feels welcome, every step of the way!
…so, you see – it’s less about the red coat, and more about the personality underneath!
With a background in Public Speaking, Cabaret Performance, and Wedding and Event management, Samantha Kelsie is the perfect person to assist as your contemporary Toastmaster, Event Host or Master of Ceremonies – or whatever you wish to call it!
‘Master of Ceremonies / Event Host’ prices start from:
£250 (if booked with an existing Celebrant service)
£350 (if booked separately)
Travel expenses may be added depending on location.
